Tompkins County Legislature moves into executive session on personnel matters
Summary
A motion to enter executive session for matters related to appointment, employment, promotion, demotion, discipline, suspension, dismissal or removal of a particular person or corporation was approved by roll call; the body said it would not take action after the session.
At the close of the public portion of the special meeting, a motion moved by Rachel Ostlund and seconded by Dan Wakeman was approved to enter executive session to discuss matters "leading to the appointment, employment, promotion, demotion, discipline, suspension, dismissal, or removal of a particular person or corporation." The body conducted a roll-call vote and approved the motion.
The presiding official stated explicitly that the legislature "will not be taking action, whenever we leave executive session and come back into normal session." The meeting then recessed for a brief offline period to move into executive session.
