"You're looking probably at 6 to 800,000 this summer being spent," Mr. Bell said while outlining phase 1 work on teacher devices, classroom 'horsepower' PCs and partial Chromebook replacement. He described a multi-year rollout and a plan to recertify usable devices for redeployment, noting the overall program could be spread across three years with subsequent purchases as needed.
Board members questioned timeline, warranty and pricing guarantees; staff said quotes are held by their technology lead and that rollout capacity, not just budget, will determine how much can be installed before school starts. The motion to authorize the bond-funded technology purchases was made and approved by voice vote.
