Board approves consent agenda, sets May 3 trustee election logistics

Staff reviewed the filing calendar for the May 3, 2025 election: petitions opened Jan. 15 and filing closed Feb. 14 at 5:00 p.m. The presenter said incumbent Mr. Johnson filed for Position 3 and that a community member, Jason Pageant, filed for Position 4. Staff noted that if no other candidates file contested races can be avoided, saving the district between an estimated $4,500 and $89,000 in election costs.
The board conducted the routine vote to approve the consent items; no items were pulled for separate discussion.
