The board approved a special permit and an associated special exception for a proposed Flow Hyundai dealership on Seminole Trail, after staff and the Architectural Review Board reviewed the entrance-corridor design and the Planning Commission recommended approval with added landscaping.
Staff and the ARB noted the entrance-corridor guidelines and recommended conditions to minimize visibility from public streets; Planning Commission members had expressed concern about vehicle-repair spaces being visible from adjacent residences and Bergmar Drive. The applicant revised the concept plan to preserve wooded areas and add a buffer along Bergmar Drive. Supervisors added one explicit condition requiring that discharge from stormwater facilities be routed to the northern boundary of the subject parcel to address community drainage concerns. The board approved the special permit and the special exception by roll call.
