Herrick thanked the board and praised his legal predecessors; several supervisors offered brief remarks in support and noted the countys legal office will celebrate Steve Rosenbergs retirement on Aug. 21. The appointment was handled as a formal personnel action following the closed meeting provision cited in the motion authorizing the closed session.
