The Kittson Central School District Board of Education met on June 24 and approved the fiscal year 2027 budget along with several administrative and policy measures. Board members voted unanimously to adopt Policy 613 (Graduation) and Policy 721 (Procurement), name the auditorium the Curtis Miller Auditorium and set the 2026-2027 graduation for Saturday, May 22 at 3 p.m.
The board also approved a range of administrative actions including membership in the Minnesota Rural Education Association and the Minnesota School Boards Association, authorization of electronic fund-transfer signatories, and hiring Ashley Hagel as concessions manager. The school nurse contract with Kittson County for 2026-2027 was approved by roll call with one abstention recorded for Amanda Pinnock noted as "With Conflict" (Yea 6, Nay 0, Abstain with conflict 1). The meeting adjourned at 8:33 PM.
