Business manager reports hot-water heater emergency and industrial-arts project timetable
Summary
District business manager Eric Hill reported a failure of hot water heaters in May that required overnight replacement, and said the industrial-arts renovation is scheduled for completion by August 14 with contractors scheduled.
In the business manager and facilities report included in the packet, Eric Hill detailed an urgent hot-water system failure on May 13 that left the district without hot water. Two replacement units were located and shipped to the district, and the contractor Jamar completed installation overnight; Hill thanked Jamar and kitchen staff for their efforts.
Hill also reported that the industrial-arts renovation is progressing: painters, an epoxy-floor contractor, garage door and electrical contractors have been scheduled and an anticipated completion date of August 14 was listed. Hill said the district will run another auction in the summer (dates to be determined) and asked stakeholders to reach out with questions.
The board acknowledged the facilities update as part of the business manager/facilities report; no separate motion was required to accept the informational report in the minutes.
