District explores replacement scoreboard, lighting grant and roof repairs

Operations Supervisor Justin Parr reported the football field scoreboard is unrepairable and the district is evaluating replacement options; the district has borrowed a smaller portable scoreboard from Moses Lake in the interim. Parr also listed other facility concerns — problems with the reader board, the ice machine and the phone system — and thanked students for cleanup after Deutschesfest.
Superintendent Steve Fisk said he is pursuing an emergency repair grant to repair the roof and that the district is still in the running to receive a grant to replace field lighting. Board members did not take additional action at this meeting beyond directing staff to explore replacement options and potential grant applications.
