Trustee Wolff said he and Dan met with Beck Simonds to review requirements for culvert installation on Hartline Road; that culvert was installed and inspected Sept. 18.
The board reported a second culvert is scheduled for North Poplar Camp on Thursday, Oct. 9 (weather permitting). The road is to be closed 9 a.m.–2 p.m.; property owners will be notified and notices posted at the Post Office and on Makanda Happenings. President Shingleton told trustees she had polled them about hiring Dana McGuire to help with Streets and Roads and that board members indicated support; a meeting with Dan to follow to finalize scheduling.
No formal hiring vote was recorded in the minutes; trustees discussed logistics and inspection follow‑up for culvert work.
