General Manager Steve Moore provided several operational updates to the board on April 22. He said staff reviewed proposed revisions to the District’s Standards and Specifications with neighboring agencies to promote consistency, reported the District is converting vehicles to electric where feasible and that an Engineering vehicle was replaced this month, and noted staff participation at the California Water Environment Association and California Special Districts Association events. Moore also reported the Repair Crew tested a newly acquired IMS Cutter and thanked the board for approving the equipment purchase.
Assistant General Manager Felicia Newhouse attended CSDA Legislative Days and relayed legislative updates that may affect District operations, including the zero-emission vehicle initiative and housing-related proposals. Moore summarized interagency coordination with the Marin County Sanitary Districts group on lateral program updates and Standards and Specifications.
