Board approves 6% starting-pay increase for Head Cook

The Long Prairie-Grey Eagle School Board approved a 6% increase in starting pay for the Head Cook during the Nov. 17 meeting. Trustee Wolf moved the change, which was seconded by Clerk Lori Hollenkamp; the motion carried unanimously.
The agenda had been adopted earlier in the meeting with the Head Cook pay increase added as new business. The minutes record the rationale as "to bring the position into line with the other positions." No public opposition or amendment to the motion was recorded in the minutes.
