RVSD representative reports CMSA approved service-charge change and SRSD item 3–2; requests peroxide dosing station discussion

RVSD’s representative to the Central Marin Sanitation Agency (CMSA), Andy Poster, briefed the Ross Valley Sanitary District board on April 22 about recent CMSA Commission actions. Poster said he raised concerns about minute accuracy with CMSA staff and commissioners and reported that Commissioner Michael Boorstein pulled the SRSD property use agreement from the consent calendar over timing and contract concerns; that SRSD item was ultimately approved on a 3–2 vote. Poster also reported that the Commission approved a recommended change to sewer service charge calculations — moving from a flow-and-strength model to a flow-only model — by a 3–2 vote.
Poster told the board the CMSA discussion included two capital projects, that the closed session at CMSA was cancelled, and that RVSD commissioners requested a future CMSA agenda item regarding a peroxide dosing station. Poster offered to participate on a Consolidation Committee. The board did not take formal action on Poster’s report during the Ross Valley meeting.
