Board elects officers for 2026; Gohman named chair

The Long Prairie-Grey Eagle School District Board on Jan. 5 elected its officers for 2026 during the board's reorganizational meeting. Member Hollenkamp nominated Linda Gohman for board chair; with no other nominations, "Member Gohman was elected Board Chair by acclamation," the minutes state. Thomas Zastrow was elected vice chair after a nomination from Member Zahnow. Lori Hollenkamp was elected clerk and Member Wolf was elected treasurer; all four elections were uncontested and carried by acclamation.
The new leadership will preside over committee assignments and routine governance for the calendar year. Board membership present at the meeting was recorded as Gohman, Hollenkamp, Levin, Wolf, Wright, Zahnow and Zastrow. The board followed the election with routine procedural business, including adopting the meeting agenda and approving a consent agenda that contained financial designations and administrative authorizations.
