The Nevis school board approved a consent agenda that included donor gifts totaling $2,100 for classroom and program needs, an annual lease renewal with Walker-Hackensack-Akeley School District for the Up North Learning Center in the amount of $85,000, and memoranda of understanding with MAHUBE-OTWA for Head Start and with PAWN and Freshwater Education District #6004 for special education program specialist and director services for 2026-27.
The consent package also records an agreement with the Nevis AFSCME Local 2768 and Nevis Federation of Teachers Local 2211 to partner on a Teacher Apprenticeship Minnesota program, and lists PMA Securities related items for issuance/fees (minutes note amounts of $17,575 and $8,200 which the district should verify in final financing documents). The motion was made by Andy Lindow, seconded by Dave McGee and carried unanimously.
