The Nevis Public School District board on June 22 approved a proposed Achievement and Integration Plan aimed at partnering racially isolated districts with adjoining districts to increase opportunity, reduce reading proficiency gaps and student absences, and provide 11th grade Pre-ACT prep. The district will partner with Walker-Hackensack-Akeley (W-H-A) and Northland school districts.
The minutes state, "Participation in this program will generate $41,000 for the District." Board members voted unanimously to approve the plan. District staff will coordinate program participation and report back on implementation steps and timelines.
