Finance Committee approves agenda and minutes; staff says final FY2025 audit report due in April

Committee Chair Abdul Abdi called the Minneapolis Board of Education Finance Committee to order at 5:45 p.m. on Feb. 24, 2026. Committee member Collin Beachy moved to approve the meeting agenda and Committee member Kim Ellison seconded; the motion was adopted unanimously on a voice vote. Later, Beachy moved to approve the minutes from the Jan. 27, 2026 meeting; Ellison seconded and that motion also carried by voice vote.
Staff provided committee members with brief updates during the meeting, including that the final FY2025 financial audit report "will be presented in April." The minutes record no formal roll-call tally for the voice votes. The committee adjourned at 7:20 p.m., and minutes were submitted by Nandi O’Brien, School Board Administrator and Assistant Clerk.
