Board OKs TELACU to oversee construction of Skyline community school

The Sulphur Springs Union School District board approved a motion Sept. 11 to authorize TELACU Construction Management to provide preconstruction through project closeout services for a planned new elementary school in the Skyline community.
Dr. Joshua Randall, the district's deputy superintendent for business services, recommended TELACU based on the firm's experience overseeing DSA‑certified K‑12 construction projects. The motion passed 4‑0 (Ken Chase, Paola Jellings, Lori MacDonald and Shelley Weinstein voting aye; Denis DeFigueiredo absent). Staff said a Construction Management Services Agreement will be brought to the next board meeting for formal execution.
