CES95 board approves multiple resignations, hires and retirements

The Carbondale Elementary School District No. 95 board on Dec. 19 approved a series of personnel actions spanning classified and certified staff. Trustees accepted resignations from Ashley White (Cook’s Helper, Carbondale Middle School), Clarissa Hill (Instructional Aide, Parrish School) and Sylvia Harrington (Instructional Aide, Lewis School). The board approved employment of paraprofessionals Janiyah Weston (Parrish), Tony Walls (Carbondale Middle School) and Corbin Blessing (Parrish), pending licensure and clear criminal background investigations, as well as multiple custodial hires across Parrish, Thomas, Lewis and Carbondale Middle School.
Additional actions included approval of Rosa Martinez Salguero as a Cook’s Helper at Carbondale Middle School, Verissa Frierson for after-school paraprofessional duties, placement of Siham Touza on the classified substitute list, and the hire of certified staff Taylor Bundren as a kindergarten teacher at Parrish School. The board also approved special assignments (Kori Hannah, assistant girls volleyball coach) and accepted revised retirement notices for Sheila James (revised to retire at the end of 2024-25) and Maria Jessup (retirement at the end of 2029-30). Trustee Renada Greer moved the classified resignations and hires and the motions passed on roll call with Trustee Corey Cawthon absent.
