Board reviews multiple policy updates and handbooks in first reading

The Policy Committee presented a first reading of several district policies (702–707 and attachments) and multiple MSBA policy updates (including policies 211, 401, 404, 405, 406, 410, 418, 420, 427, 503, 515, 520, 530, 615, 613, 616, 618, 619, 620R, 701, 807, and 731R). The board also reviewed handbooks for various programs and buildings, including RAS Parent & Student, staff handbooks, Galaxy Kids, Early Childhood, and device and volunteer handbooks.
These items were presented as first readings; board members did not take final action on the policies at this meeting. The board will consider any further edits or subsequent readings at future meetings as part of the policy review process.
