At its Aug. 3 meeting the Paducah Planning Commission recorded the following formal actions:
- Approved the July 6, 2026 minutes (motion to waive reading and approve; roll-call recorded as 'Aye' by Commissioners Griffin, Heath, Kaler, Benberry, Chapman and Chairman Wade).
- Opened and then closed the public hearing for case AC2026-0001 (alley vacation) by voice motions and vote.
- Recommended that the Board of Commissioners vacate and close 8,129 square feet of alley parallel to Kentucky Avenue and Washington Street between South 9th Street and Walter Jeton Boulevard (roll-call recorded 'Aye' from Commissioners Chapman, Griffin, Heath, Koehler, Benberry and Chairman Wade).
The commission then adjourned and set its next meeting for Sept. 1.
