Longtime parks director praised as he prepares to retire

Molesco, speaking to the committee, reflected on his tenure: "The pleasure has definitely been mine for the 26 years that I've worked here. I do it for the community. I enjoy what I do." He said he is proud of the projects and programs established during his time and noted staff and management are coordinating to ensure a smooth transition for his active projects, particularly Rockwell Park.
Councilors asked staff to continue oversight during the transition and to pursue funding and permitting steps so the projects Molesco led move forward.
