Princeton school board accepts Scott Bowman’s resignation, calls special election

Board Chair Deb Ulm called the Independent School District #477 special session to order on June 30, 2026. The board accepted the resignation of Board Director Scott Bowman after a motion by Eric Minks, seconded by Melissa Lynch; the motion passed unanimously.
The board then adopted a resolution calling a special election to fill the seat created by Bowman’s resignation. Dawn Bourdeaux moved the resolution, seconded by Eric Strandberg; the board voted in favor (Eric Strandberg, Dawn Bourdeaux, Deb Ulm, Eric Minks, Melissa Lynch and Jen Super) with a recorded tally of 6-0 and no votes against. Superintendent Pat Devine was listed among those present for the meeting.
