CES95 ELA team backs adopting updated Wonders; district to seek quote for six-year renewal

The district’s K–5 ELA curriculum team, after meeting with teachers and receiving a presentation from a McGraw-Hill representative, recommended adopting the updated edition of Wonders for K–5 instruction. Michelle Martin, Director of Data Reporting and Programs, said teachers "overwhelmingly want to adopt the updated edition of Wonders by McGraw-Hill," and that she will work with the vendor on a quote for a six-year renewal to present for board consideration in March.
The faculty council echoed the recommendation during its report and noted continued coordination with Martin as staff roles change later in the year. The board did not take formal adoption action at the Jan. 23 meeting; staff will return with cost estimates and a formal recommendation.
