District says boundary process reached thousands online and 2,300 survey participants; staff highlight language access

Kay Valella, the district's executive director of community relations, said the boundaries website had "over 60,000 views" since the district posted scenarios in January, and that surveys and two community informational meeting series produced substantial input.
Valella said the district received about 2,300 survey responses (1,250 in the first survey and 1,046 in the second), and that staff provided language access, translated materials and targeted outreach in areas with lower early participation such as Brooklyn Park and Brooklyn Center. The district noted many parents and caregivers, plus some students and community members, contributed feedback to the process.
