Board adopts administrative regulations on personal leaves and vacation payouts

The Board approved updated personnel policies on Aug. 28, adopting Administrative Regulation 4161.2 (Personal Leaves - Classified Staff Members), 4261.2 (Personal Leaves - Certificated Staff Members) and 4361.2 (Personal Leaves - Management Staff Members). Trustees also approved Board Policy 4362 addressing Classified Management, Supervisory, and Confidential Vacations/Vacation Payout. The district said the regulations incorporate current legislation and recommended language from the California School Boards Association (CSBA).
Each regulation and the policy passed by unanimous voice vote. The Board noted the regulations are identical in substance where appropriate (different employee groups) and will be implemented through the appropriate personnel channels.
