The Village of Carbon Hill Mayor and Board of Trustees opened their regular meeting at 7:00 p.m. on March 4, 2025. Mayor Adam Johnson called the meeting to order; roll call showed Trustees Charlie Shain, Nicole Shain, Gary Smith, Lorna Surman and Lori Togliatti present and Trustee Paul Opyd absent. The board approved the Feb. 4, 2025 regular meeting minutes and the March 4, 2025 treasurer's report, each by a 5-0 vote with one absence.
The minutes record that the Grundy County Sheriff's Department did not appear to provide its monthly update. Treasurer Lakin Elliott departed the meeting at 7:05 a.m. The meeting concluded with routine departmental reports, a discussion about Homecoming planning and the adjournment motion made by Trustee Gary Smith; the adjournment motion carried with five ayes and one absence.
