The Cherokee County School Board voted unanimously to move its regular March meeting from March 9 to March 16 at 6 p.m. Trustee Johnny Surratt Jr. made the motion to change the date and the board approved it after a brief discussion of scheduling.
"I make a motion to move our regular scheduled March meeting from March 9 to March 16," the trustee said during the meeting, and the chair announced the motion was seconded and approved unanimously. The request was made so a trustee could attend a cohort convened by the Harlem Children’s Zone and the William Julius Wilson Institute that runs March 9–11.
