The Walker-Hackensack-Akeley School Board approved two overnight student trips and accepted a community donation during its May 11 meeting. The Speech team was authorized to attend the NSDA Tournament in Richmond, Virginia, June 14–19, 2026, and the football team was authorized to attend State Team Camp at Bemidji State University July 14–16, 2026. Both motions passed unanimously (Yea 7, Nay 0).
