Students ask for hat allowance; board to align Policy 504 and handbook for 2026–27

Board Chair June Rezac said she disagreed with allowing hats in class but asked student board members for input. Superintendent Mark Winter was directed to poll staff about current practice and bring a recommendation back to the board; the motion passed that the board and handbook language be aligned and any approved change would take effect in the 2026–27 school year.
