WEM High School Principal Brandon Tagg presented proposed options for the high school course catalog for the coming year and noted that second semester began Jan. 20. Tagg said staff are reviewing which classes to continue and where to add or modify offerings for 9–12 students.
Tagg also reported attending a JA Finance event Jan. 21 (accompanied by Ms. Brown) to evaluate whether a simulated finance/’Biz Town’-style field trip would be appropriate for 9th‑grade career programming in the future. He said the activity uses iPads to simulate household decisions such as child care, credit cards and student loans and could be considered for upcoming curricula or next year’s offerings.
