Pequot Lakes board elects 2026 officers, sets salaries and meeting schedule

Acting Chair Kim Bolz‑Andolshek called the Pequot Lakes Public Schools Board of Education organizational meeting to order at 5:15 p.m. on Jan. 5, 2026. The board, meeting in the MS/HS Media Center, approved the agenda and then moved to elect officers for the calendar year.
Dena Moody nominated Kim Bolz‑Andolshek as Board Chair; there were no other nominations and Bolz‑Andolshek was elected. Bolz‑Andolshek nominated Pamela Johnson for Vice Chair; Johnson was elected. Amy Sjoblad nominated Dena Moody as Clerk and Moody was elected. Sjoblad was later elected Treasurer. All officer elections were uncontested and recorded as carrying by a 6‑0 vote.
The board set its regular meeting schedule for 2026 as presented and established member compensation at $250 per month. In addition, the board approved extra stipends of $100 per month for the Chair and $50 per month each for the Clerk and Treasurer. Compensation for extra meetings and required trainings was set at $100 per full day and $50 per half day. Those motions passed on 6‑0 votes.
The actions take effect for the 2026 calendar year; the board indicated members will discuss individual task force and liaison interests with the Chair in the coming weeks.
