During the Aug. 22 meeting the Carbondale Elementary School District No. 95 board approved a slate of personnel actions across classified and certified categories. Motioned and seconded as recorded in the minutes, actions included acceptance of resignations (Regina Dodds, Student Supervisory Aide at Lewis School; Rubie Mulholland, Bi-Lingual Paraprofessional at Thomas School; and Alana Joines as Scholar Bowl Sponsor at Carbondale Middle School), employment of paraprofessionals and after-school staff across attendance centers, addition of a classified substitute (Rosa Martinez pending clear CBI), and certified hires including Jakirria Cokley as Social Worker at Carbondale Middle School.
The board also approved after-school tutors and program coordinators, and approved a revised retirement notification for Gina Stokes to retire effective at the end of the 2024–2025 school year rather than the previously stated 2025–2026 date. Roll-call and voice votes recorded unanimous support for the personnel items.
