Dr. Joshua Randall told trustees the District has applied for a Zero‑Emission School Bus and Infrastructure Project grant and that the District can acquire three Type A/C zero‑emission buses to replace three diesel buses under the program. The Board approved Resolution R‑24‑64 to participate in the grant program and to authorize an agreement with CALSTART.
The motion to adopt the resolution was made by Trustee Denis DeFigueiredo and seconded by Trustee Paola Jellings; the motion passed 5‑0. District staff indicated prior grants had been used to modernize the fleet and that the current application is part of those ongoing efforts.
