On Aug. 22 the Carbondale Elementary School District No. 95 board approved a $47,723.06 contract with Complete Technology Solutions to replace the district's key-fob access system. The motion, moved by Markida Roper and seconded by Imani McHenry, passed on a roll-call vote with all seven members recorded as yes.
Director of Technology Melody Spaulding had introduced the recommendation and highlighted that the district would work with a local company that also supports the phone system. The minutes record that funding for the project will come from the Capital Projects Fund and that the board intends to proceed to contract and payment.
