Carbondale CES95 posts FY25 tentative budget for 30-day display; public hearing set for Sept. 23

The Carbondale Elementary School District No. 95 board voted Aug. 22 to place the tentative fiscal year 2025 budget on display beginning Aug. 23, 2024, through Sept. 23, 2024, at the CES95 Administrative Office (1150 E. Grand Avenue, Suite 2) and set a public hearing and adoption date for Sept. 23 at 7:00 PM. The action was approved unanimously on a motion by Imani McHenry, seconded by Stacye Saunders.
Chief School Business Official Janiece Blake told the board placing the budget on display is necessary to meet Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) adoption timelines; a tentative budget was included in the board packet and may change as final revenues, expenditures, and grant funding are confirmed.
