Jeremy LeBlanc elected board chair as YME names 2026 officers and committee rosters

At its Jan. 12 meeting, the Yellow Medicine East ISD #2190 board voted to elect Jeremy LeBlanc as board chair and approved vice-chair, clerk and treasurer roles and committee assignments for 2026.
Jeremy LeBlanc was nominated by Sonja Pederson and elected Board Chair for the 2026 calendar year, the board announced at its Jan. 12 meeting. The board also approved Sonja Pederson as Vice-Chair, Matt Zempel as Clerk and Laurel Christianson as Treasurer for 2026.
The board recorded committee assignments for the year: the Negotiation Committee includes LeBlanc, Abbey Richter and Ron Winter; Finance comprises Laurel Christianson, Sonja Pederson and Matt Zempel; Policy and Curriculum Advisory committee memberships and other standing committees were also assigned. The meeting minutes list additional liaison roles including MN Valley Cooperative Center representatives and a Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) representative.
