Litchfield board accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield for employee health coverage

The Litchfield Public Schools Board voted unanimously on April 13 to accept a bid to continue district health coverage with Blue Cross Blue Shield beginning July 1, 2026. The motion also maintained current carriers for other employee benefits: dental with HealthPartners, vision with EyeMed and life/long-term disability with Madison National Life.
Tim Oster moved the motion to accept the Blue Cross Blue Shield bid and Alex Carlson seconded. Board members recorded no votes against the motion; the motion carried 6-0. The change will take effect on July 1, 2026, per the board motion recorded in the minutes.
