Board approves installing bladder in sewer line during closed session

During closed session that began at 9:09 p.m., the Cairo Board of Directors discussed a lawsuit being filed against the village "pursuant to Section 610.021 (1)" (legal actions). Board minutes record that attorneys Randall Barron and Blake Hill (via phone) were present for the closed session.
After the legal discussion the board considered an operational step for the sewer system. "Motion was made by Chris Hilke to put a bladder in the sewer line to prevent discharge into the system," the minutes state. Chris Zike seconded the motion, and the motion "carried on a voice vote with all board members present voting yay." The closed session adjourned at 9:35 p.m.
