Director David Linn presented the first reading of a proposed policy and resolution (BHD) on Board Member Compensation at the May 27 work session.
Linn outlined issues for consideration including whether to provide stipends, potential stipend amounts, whether adoption should be annual or ongoing, eligibility criteria, attendance accounting and prorating, and the distinction between stipends and expense reimbursements. Board members asked questions about implementation and estimated annual cost; the board requested additional legal and procedural research and instructed the committee to revise the proposal based on feedback for return at a future meeting.
No vote or formal action was taken on the policy during the session.
