Superintendent James Owens delivered the districts year-end report at the May 27 work session, reviewing accomplishments in year three of Roadmap '27 and previewing priorities for 2026 27.
Owens summarized completed and ongoing initiatives including trimester and grade-level data summits, elementary standards mapping, equity-focused professional learning, supports for immigrant students and families, operations and facility planning (including a Facility Advisory Committee and summer 2025 facility projects), and labor bargaining with CEA and CSD. Looking ahead, Owens identified year four of Roadmap '27, the 2026 27 strategic planning process, the districts long-range facility planning process, OSEA successor negotiations, and Centennials 50th anniversary as priorities for the coming year.
Board members commented on the report and congratulated Owens and district staff on their work; no formal board action was taken beyond receiving the report.
