Budget committee approves $46.11 million proposed budget, sets $4.6426 tax rate

The Creswell School District Budget Committee voted to approve the district’s proposed 2026–27 budget and to set a permanent tax rate of $4.6426 per $1,000 of assessed value.
Dr. Robertson moved that the proposed budget be approved "as follows: General Fund: $19,880,300, Debt Service: $2,333,585, Capital Project: $14,840,000, Special Revenue: Grants: $5,543,930, Facilities: $1,180,000, Nutrition Services: $835,200, Vehicle Replacement: $298,000, Student Activity: $523,000, Student Body: $625,000, Scholarships: $55,500. Total All Funds: $46,114,515." Mike Anderson seconded the motion, and the minutes record that "the motion carried unanimously."
The vote was recorded as unanimous in the minutes; the committee membership list in the record (in addition to Chair Ron Colletti) includes Mike Anderson, Adam Bell, Sara Cline, Christine Coursey, Craig Leonard, Katie Perez, Lacey Risdal, Lonn Roertson, Tim Rogers, Mary Stayton and Debi Wilkerson. Sarah Cox was listed as not present. The approved proposed budget will be forwarded to the Creswell School Board for final adoption.
The committee’s action also set the district’s permanent tax rate at $4.6426 per $1,000 of assessed value in support of the General Fund, as part of the motion that approved the proposed budget.
Chair Lemhouse Worsham closed the budget item by noting no additional budget committee meeting would be scheduled and the group adjourned at 6:45 PM.
