The Board of County Commissioners unanimously confirmed Lashonda Salters to serve as director of Polk County’s Court Services Division, effective Sept. 2, 2025. The county manager presented the appointment under item G‑1 and told the board the position is authorized and funded in the FY24–25 adopted budget.
The manager said the negotiated base salary is $130,000 with roughly $56,000 in benefits; the manager described Salters’ 25 years of experience in criminal justice and supervisory roles in pretrial release, drug and alcohol testing, and court operations. Salters thanked the board and court services staff and pledged to continue serving Polk County residents. The commission moved, seconded and approved the confirmation by voice vote.
