APA representatives said they submitted a comprehensive five-year budget that prioritizes classroom instruction and charter-specific accounting support from VeriCPA. A presenter listed additional named contributors, saying, “Melissa Yazzie and Janao Noel with VeriCPA ensure sound financial guidance and Charter specific accounting compliance.”
Board members thanked the applicants for their work and said the district completed a rubric-based review. The board framed the Q&A as an opportunity for clarifying details about curriculum alignment, student supports and financial impacts. The presentation team emphasized that Core Knowledge will be the academic framework with an integrated-arts component and highlighted plans for professional development through the Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities.
