District wins grants for classroom SMART Boards and ice‑skating lessons

The Palisades School District reported two recent grants during its Jan. 27 meeting: a technology grant to supply four SMART Boards for classrooms and a separate special grant to provide ice-skating lessons for students.
Superintendent Stephanie Andler said the SMART Boards will be installed and teachers will receive training to use the equipment as instructional tools. Andler also said the district secured the entire rink for one-hour lessons under a skating grant; the last class is scheduled for Jan. 30.
Board members expressed appreciation for the grants as direct support for classroom instruction and student enrichment, and staff will coordinate installation and lesson logistics in the coming weeks.
