The Corvallis School District Board of Directors convened a special meeting on Jan. 22, 2026, at 5:34 PM in the district board room. The meeting opened with identification of members present and a quorum. Superintendent Ryan Noss introduced Emily Sass, a Culinary Arts teacher, and students from Corvallis and Crescent Valley High Schools who prepared a special dinner to honor Board members for School Board Appreciation Month.
Chair Luhui Whitebear announced the Board and presenters would dine until 6:00 p.m. and then proceed with department scorecard presentations; audio was limited during the dinner portion, the minutes state. After dinner, departmental presentations covering Business Services, Communications, Human Resources, Operations and Student Growth & Experience were presented in a rotating, small-group format. Documents supporting the presentations are posted online and will be archived with official 2025–26 board records.
Board members shared reflections at the conclusion of the presentations, praising staff for transparent communication, collaboration across departments, and alignment with Board goals. With no further business the meeting was adjourned at 7:55 PM. The minutes do not record any motions, votes, or formal actions taken at the special meeting.
