Superintendent Nicole Albisu told the board the district has received a TAP grant and has established a long-range facility plan. She said the district is preparing the 2026–27 budget while monitoring recently announced session bills that could affect schools.
"We have received the TAP grant and have established the longrange facility plan as explained in the work session," Albisu said. She also told members the district has implemented a spending freeze so schools inventory existing supplies before making further purchases to prepare for possible budget impacts from session bills.
Albisu said administration is working through budget issues and will present budget goals ahead of the budget committee meeting; she also flagged that virtual‑school updates and a communications plan were requested for future meetings.
