District recognizes classified employees across schools during Classified Appreciation month

The Ontario School District 8C Board recognized classified employees from across the district in a series of presentations during Classified Appreciation Month.
Andrea Buchholz opened the recognitions for Alameda Intermediate by honoring Jeannie Lukehart: "It is such an honor to recognize Jeannie Lukehart as Alameda Intermediate’s Classified Employee of the Year. Jeannie is the definition of a 'go-getter.'" Other honorees included Alexa Poynor (May Roberts Primary), Danyelle Pauni (Aiken Elementary), Lexus Brandon (Ontario Middle School), Dee Bledsoe and Debra Finn (Ontario High School), Maria Alvarez (maintenance nominee), Maria "Lula" Mendoza (Nutrition Services Outstanding Employee) and members of the Technology Department noted by Director Kenneth Monson.
Board members and administrators praised the honorees for devotion to students, strong teamwork and leadership during staffing transitions. The recognitions highlighted day-to-day operations — from special-education support to custodial and nutrition services — as essential to school functioning.
