Maintenance and grounds supervisor Andrew Kressly provided the board’s HAAS and facilities update, reporting that lead and water testing has been completed and that the next set of lead testing is scheduled for 2029. He also said radon testing is upcoming and that reports will be posted on the district website.
Kressly discussed the ongoing May Roberts Primary kitchen remodel and said asbestos encountered during the remodel was removed and replaced with concrete. When Director Mike Blackaby asked, "how asbestos is removed, or does it get replaced somehow?" Kressly replied the material is removed and replaced with concrete.
The presentation emphasized ongoing monitoring and testing; Kressly said he will serve as the coordinator for the HAAS report and manage inspection and management planning. Test reports and future testing timelines will be posted on the district website.
