Bleachers at Grove Sports Complex damaged in overnight crash; district working with Milton PD

S3 told the board that around 3 a.m. a vehicle missed a turn and drove into a fence and the bleachers at the Grove Sports Complex, causing substantial damage. "The bleachers are pretty much totaled," S3 said, and staff contacted Milton PD that morning to document the incident and begin coordinating repairs.

S3 said the fence and bleachers were damaged enough that without the fence the seating could have ended up in the field; the vehicle was left at the scene. The district is working to secure and repair the stands so remaining scheduled games can proceed safely, and staff will update the board on progress and any cost or insurance implications.
