The Milton-Freewater Unified SD 7 Board of Education on Oct. 13 approved a $20,000 grant from the Milton Freewater Area Foundation to fund a new scoreboard at McRae Ireland Baseball Field, authorized several extra-duty extracurricular contracts and adopted a set of OSBA-recommended policy updates while deferring action on policy CEA.
Superintendent Aaron Duff reported the district’s enrollment at 1,548 students and told the board that the district is in compliance with Oregon Administrative Rules Chapter 581, Division 22. Chair Tim McElrath called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.; a quorum was present.
The board recorded unanimous votes on the consent agenda, the grant acceptance, extra-duty contracts and the policy adoptions. The meeting adjourned at 6:55 p.m.; the next regular meeting is scheduled for Nov. 17 at 6:30 p.m. at Freewater School.
